Medical technology is the involves a wide range of products used to diagnose, treat, and develop cures for health issues. The medical fields spends a lot of time and money on new medical technology and uses them to enhance the quality of life for every individual. The medical technologies are improving not only the quality of health care given but also the outcome of a diagnosis. Medical technology can also refer to the duties performed at clinical labs. These clinical settings can include chemistry, genetics, reproduction, psychology, radiology, pediatrics, etc…
Medical technologies provide the medical field with options for treatment in many different cases. In the case of cancer, medical technologies provide options of opting for radiation, chemotherapy, surgery, or prescription drugs. In the case of HIV/AIDS, medical technologies have provided individuals with the options to live longer healthier lives with the disease. A person can change the shape of there nose, chin, and many more. Liposuction is also a procedure that can alter ones body fat in the areas of the belly, butt, thighs. arms, and many more. This phenomenon is very popular, especially now a days where looks see so important.
Medical technologies that are inspirational and life saving are; gastric bypass, face reconstruction, cell regeneration, and cloning. All these types have helped an individual over come some awful natural occurrence or habit. Even cloning, although controversial, can be used to aid a person in gaining a body part of organ that is an exact match.
Medical technology has a funny way of making profit convenient for those using a particular type of technology, and an expense to those who purchase it. However, depending on ones situation, the money may be worth it. Some medical technologies save life’s, and some just aid in life’s desires to be “perfect”. The medical field has always been controversial, and will continue to push innovation to the next level. No matter how slice it, technology with respect to the medical field is a precious addition to life.
